A Written Thought:
“Icarus falls to remind us that wax melts before the fire. With mirage goggles fixed tightly, we sit buckled into the wax machine called “progress,” propelled by the motivation to become as gods in control of our own universe. At our feet lies a knapsack of delusion, which contains all the time we have “saved” with our technological advancements. Bursting at the seams, we perceive it to be empty, simply because we are so busy building more machines to save more time. All the while, this labor of time-saving ascension is so burdensome, our true life’s energy is drained, and we live in mediocrity: heads bent forward, red eyes twitching, thumbs cramping, stomachs bursting.”
